Will the Gentiles be slaves in the Kingdom?
One of the doctrines that certain Hebrew Israelite groups teach is that Gentiles, or non Israelites, will serve the Israelites in the Kingdom of Heaven. They claim that the nations that enslaved the biblical Israelites, who they claim to be, will themselves go into slavery in the kingdom and be the slaves of the Israelites in the kingdom. At this time I must point out that some Hebrew Israelites do claim that no gentiles will enter the kingdom at all. Here however we will just be dealing with the claim made regarding the gentiles being slaves in the kingdom.

There are a number of different verses and passages used by the Hebrew Israelites in their claim.
Isaiah 14-1 For the LORD will have mercy on Jacob, and will yet choose Israel, and set them in their own land: and the strangers shall be joined with them, and they shall cleave to the house of Jacob. 2And the people shall take them, and bring them to their place: and the house of Israel shall possess them in the land of the LORD for servants and handmaids: and they shall take them captives, whose captives they were; and they shall rule over their oppressors.
Isaiah 60-12 For the nation and kingdom that will not serve thee shall perish; yea, thosenations shall be utterly wasted.
Revelation 13-10 He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.
At first glance and at face value these passages do at least seem like they could in fact support these claims. However when a passage is used to support a claim we must investigate the context and the true meaning to see if it does do what the claim is that it does.
So let’s have a look at these passages put them back into context and apply some understanding and see if they really do show that non Israelite gentiles will be slaves to the Israelites in the kingdom.
Isaiah 14-1 For the LORD will have mercy on Jacob, and will yet choose Israel, and set them in their own land: and the strangers shall be joined with them, and they shall cleave to the house of Jacob. 2And the people shall take them, and bring them to their place: and the house of Israel shall possess them in the land of the LORD for servants and handmaids: and they shall take them captives, whose captives they were; and they shall rule over their oppressors.
There are some important pieces of information that we need to examine closely here. Firstly the word strangers which is translated from the Hebrew גֵּר ger which means a sojourner, These people are those of other nations who would join themselves to Israel when Israel returned to their land. We then have the word cleave which is the Hebrew סָפַח saphach to join, attach to.
So people from other nations would join Israel and attach themselves to Israel. They would become bondmen and bondwoman of the Israelites.

This will also explain what possession means.
Pay close attention to what verse 2 states
Isaiah 14- 2 And the people shall take them, and bring them to their place: and the house of Israel shall possess them in the land of the LORD for servants and handmaids: and they shall take them captives, whose captives they were; and they shall rule over their oppressors.
It very clearly makes a distinction between those that will be a possesed by Israel in the land AND the ones that they will take captive. The ones that Israel will take captives whose captives they were are NOT the sojourners of verse 1 who will JOIN Israel. The stranger who joins Israel cannot be the same people as the ones that Israel will take captive. By the very definition of the two words in both the Hebrew and the English they are mutually opposed to one another. One is a choice the other is by force.
The most important fact to note here is that Isaih 14 is not in reference to the Kingdom at all. Isaiah 14 is a prophecy about the future return of the Israelites to the land of Israel after the Babylonian captivity not about the future Messianic kingdom. Isaiah prophesied about a future time that would come upon the Israelites where they would be taken into captivity by the Babylonians as punishment for their disobedience and rebellion against God. However Isaiah also prophesied that God would one day allow his people to return to the land. Isaiah chapter 13 is about the future judgment of the kingdom of Babylon. This then leads into chapter 14 where God promises to restore Israel. He will yet have mercy on Jacob here is a fulfilled prophecy that occured when the ISraelites returned from the Babylonian captivity,
We see in the next 4 verses WHO the oppressors were
Isaiah 14- 3 And it shall come to pass in the day that the LORD shall give thee rest from thy sorrow, and from thy fear, and from the hard bondage wherein thou wast made to serve,
4 That thou shalt take up this proverb against the king of Babylon, and say, How hath the oppressor ceased! the golden city ceased!
5 The LORD hath broken the staff of the wicked, and the sceptre of the rulers.
6 He who smote the people in wrath with a continual stroke, he that ruled the nations in anger, is persecuted, and none hindereth.
BABYLON.
So we move to Isaiah 60-12
Isaiah 60-12 For the nation and kingdom that will not serve thee shall perish; yea, thosenations shall be utterly wasted.
This is one of the more simple verses to explain because of the fact that Isaiah 60-12 is not even referring to the Israelites but rather Zion. While the Hebrew Israelites focus the attention on verse 12 and only verse 12 so as to assert its meaning and its referent, which they assert are the Israelites, when we actually look at the chapter as a whole the true referent, Zion, becomes perfectly clear.
In chapter 60 Isaiah speaks of a future restoration of Zion
In verse 14 Isaiah state that they that despised thee shall bow themselves down at the soles of thy feet, while this at first may seem to speak of a person or people Isaiah continues and states that they shall call thee the CITY of the LORD, the ZION of the Holy one of Israel.
Isaiah 60-14 The sons also of them that afflicted thee shall come bending unto thee; and all they that despised thee shall bow themselves down at the soles of thy feet; and they shall call thee, The city of the LORD, The Zion of the Holy One of Israel.
Here Isaiah make it clear that the CITY, Zion, is being personified and spoken to but it is the CITY and not the people that is in focus.
The whole chapter is Isaiah referring to Zion in personification. Anyone using Isaiah 60-12 as proof that the gentiles will serve the Israelites is doing so incorrectly either through their own lack of study into the referent of the verse and chapter or through willful deception to deliberately deceive those that do not know the true referent.
We are left then with just one verse to deal with and that is the verse in Revelation.
Revelation 13-10 He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.
Despite the desperate attempts by many Hebrew Israelites to make it appear otherwise this verse does not mean that those who took the israelites captive must go into captivity.
When we look at the actual context we will see that revelation 13 is referring to the beast and the persecution of the saints by the beast.
We see that in verse 7 that the beast was given power to make war with the Saints.
Revelation 13- 7And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.
Then in verse 8 we are told that all on the earth will worship him (those that are NOT written in the book of life of the lamb)
Revelation 13- 8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
So we see that the beast will make war with the saints and those not written in the book of the lamb will worship the beast.
It is then we are get to verse 10.
Revelation 13-10 He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.
This actually means that those saints that will have to endure captivity will have to endure captivity and those that must die by the sword will die by the sword. The saints will have to accept their fate through their faith, the faith of the saints and if they are to be killed for their faith then they must accept that fate just as if they are to be taken captive
We see this stated in the book of Jeremiah, albeit in a slightly different and maybe more understandable way.
Jeremiah 15- 2 And it shall come to pass, if they say unto thee, Whither shall we go forth? then thou shalt tell them, Thus saith the LORD; Such as are for death, to death; and such as are for the sword, to the sword; and such as are for the famine, to the famine; and such as are for the captivity, to the captivity.
Jeremiah 43-11 And when he cometh, he shall smite the land of Egypt, and deliver such as are for death to death; and such as are for captivity to captivity; and such as are for the sword to the sword.
We are told in the book of James that blessed is the man that endureth
James 1-12 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
Jesus umself tells us that we will be hated bt it is him that endures till the end that will be saved.
Matthew 10-22 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.
There will be many who are persecuted for their faith under the beast system and we must not denounce Jesus to save ourselves. As Jesus said who will save his life will lose it but he who loses his life for Jesus will gain it.
Matthew 16-25 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.
Revelation 13-10 just like the other passages has nothing whatsoever to do with the gentiles being servants of the Israelites in the kingdom.
